edible institute

We’re looking forward to attending the 2014 installment of the Edible Institute this weekend in New York City.  While each discussion and Q&A is unique and interesting in its own right, the talk closest to our hearts (of course) falls in the Environment category “Fracking: What Can New Yorkers Learn + Teach the Rest of the Nation?” and features prominent members of the Chefs for the Marcellus campaign.

The fracking talk will take place on Saturday, May 10th from 3:15pm – 4:15pm at the New School University’s 12th Street Auditorium, with experts Wenonah Hauter (Director, Food & Water Watch), Peter Hoffman (Chef, Back Forty and Back Forty West), Ken Jaffe (Farmer, Slope Farms) and Will Blunt (Editor, Star Chefs).

We look forward to catching up with culinary movers and shakers at the two-day conference, participating in the fracking Q&A, and reporting back with important talking points and themes. The annual think tank features features talks and panels by farmers, chefs, drink makers, journalists and food and drink enthusiasts. The current agenda is listed on Edible’s website, and tickets can be purchased here.
