Photographer J Henry Fair is best known for his Industrial Scars series, in which he researches our world’s most egregious environmental disasters and creates images — often from the air — that are simultaneously stunning and horrifying. He has increasingly turned his attention to his own backyard, as  hydrofracking increasingly threatens the rural landscapes of Pennsylvania and New York.  He will be signing copies of his book, The Day After Tomorrow: Images of Our Earth in Crisis, on Sunday, December 11 at the New Amsterdam Market, between noon and 3:00 p.m.
